Rising Afro-soul talent Ossi Grace makes a return with the release of her latest single ‘Where You Belong’, setting the tone for her forthcoming 11-track EP ‘In A Hopeless Place’ dropping this October.

Continuing to cement her place as one of the genre’s most exciting emerging voices, the forthcoming body of work will include recent singles, ‘Only You’, ‘FA’, ‘Ocean’ and the unmistakable debut ‘Reason’.

On the release of her forthcoming EP, Ossi said: “Nigeria, to many of us, often feels like a hopeless place – the struggle to access even the simplest of things, from electricity to a job that can at least put food on the table. We spend
most of our time hoping things will improve – so when we finally find something good, we hold on to it as tightly as we can. For me, that ‘good something’ is love. I sing about it in the opening track of the EP – ‘You (intro)’ – it was like finding a rose sprouting out of a pile of concrete rubble. That’s the beauty of being Nigerian – the resilience born from struggle gave me the strength to fight for the love I had discovered. Through this project, I express how I learnt to choose love
and let love choose me.”

Since her first release ‘Reason’ back in 2024, Ossi has continued to gain traction with her vocals likened to Tracy Chapman’s, and intimate storytelling. Now preparing to deliver her debut EP, the project is a further demonstration of Ossi’s
brilliance as a songwriter – crafting heartfelt narratives, which, accompanied by her vocals, are nothing short of stunning.
