Lagos-born singer, rapper and producer Danpapa GTA has released his new single “Ikeja (No Go Thief),” a high-energy Afro-fusion record that blends street humor, sharp wordplay, and experimental production into a sound that feels unmistakably Lagos.

First teased in December 2025, a short snippet of the song quickly spread across TikTok, generating thousands of organic creator videos and sparking conversations on Twitter with early co-signs from artists and industry figures including Odunsi (The Engine), DJ YK Mule, Famous Pluto, Lady Donli, NSG, Odeal, Dandizzy, YKB, Straffitti, Jeleel and Elestee. What began as an underground internet moment has now evolved into a full release with growing cultural and commercial momentum, positioning it as one of the earliest breakout records of the year.

Built around the playful but pointed warning, “No go thief for Ikeja”, the song reflects everyday Lagos reality, using humor and experimentation to speak on social behavior and urban life, turning street language into pop culture.
