Tanzania’s superstar, Marioo has released his latest single, a zouk/bongo flavour titled “Hakuna Matata” produced by S2kizzy. It follows Marioo’s deluxe of his debut album, The Kid You Know which has racked up a staggering 285m streams, and newest single ‘Away’ featuring Harmonize which went straight to #1 in Tanzania.
“Hakuna Matata”, famously referenced in The Lion King, means “no worries”, and here Marioo transforms the globally recognized phrase into a marvellous up-tempo love record in which he assures his girlfriend not to worry about anything because he loves her so much. This song can send positivity to lovers around the world and change the perception of those who are worry of love.
With harmonious melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, this song is sure to cut across borders and be loved by all. The sound fuses zouk and bongo flava underlain by a truly global vibe, and was released on April 14th, to mark the end of Ramadan and beginning of Eid festivities.
