Sarz & Lojay – Billions
On our top ranked new music, familiar duo Sarz and Lojay team up again for this red-hot Pop hit. Anyone familiar with the joint Ep by these two, already have an inkling of what to expect when they collaborate. Billions is no different. Combining amazing production from legendary producer Sarz with impeccable delivery and lyricism from talented singer Lojay, the duo make an unstoppable force. A seemingly perfect record with no noticeable flaws. Billions is a blatant example of what good music is and should spend a long time on everyone’s playlist.

Johnny Drille – Palava
Our second best new music sees Alternative RnB singer Johnny Drille release his second single of the year. On this progressive and enchanting production he samples Afrobeats icon Stereoman. The singer executes this Afro-pop smash in a way that’s unusual for the multi-talented singer, producer and song-writer. While it’s a diversion from his usual style, an inch perfect delivery further goes to display his versatility. We’re sure the public won’t be complaining as they enjoy this amazing record.

Titom, Yuppe & Burna Boy – Tshwala Bam (ft S.N.E)
The highly anticipated remix to South African smash hit Tshwala Bam, featuring the “African Giant” Burna Boy, takes the No.3 spot on our ranking. Adding his unique style and perspective to this already certified banger, Burna instantly makes it more relatable to both local and foreign audiences. It is a public secret that Burna Boy delivers on any record he touches and Tshwala Bam is no different. Laced with self-praise and warning shots in Yoruba, Pidgin and English language, it’s hard to imagine a better remix with such a global appeal.

Ice Prince – Calculate (ft Blaqbonez & ILLYTHEGREAT)
On the No. 4 song on our ranking, the synchronicity between Ice Prince’s flow and the beat hits you before anything else. Rap star Blaqbonez delivers a 10/10 performance to add a unique vibe to the song, elevating what was an already good experience. On this nicely produced Hip-hop cut, both artists deliver well to give the listener an amazing ride. Filled with witty punchlines and metaphors, Ice Prince is in top form on his album. An amazing collaboration with Blaqbonez, and from what we hear, hip-hop is in safe hands.

Minz & Davido – Wap
Afro-pop sensation Minz has been in red hot form for the past year, and he clinches the 5th spot with his show stealing duet with superstar Davido. Both artists detail an addictive relationship in this sultry and addictive offering. A really good record produced by French hitmaker BGRZ who has production credits for the likes of Omah Lay, Teni, Nsg, and more. An immediate earworm, the song is perfectly balanced between the flow and delivery of Minz and the star power of Davido.

Jinmi Abduls – Awero
In 6th spot is this addictive love record that combines African traditional elements and modern pop sounds. Singer Jinmi Abduls takes the listener on a rich and cultural love journey. The talented act delivers a perfectly written single and the incorporation of indigenous sounds makes the listening experience something to look forward to. The first single off his coming project “The Talking Stage”, it only leaves the listener anticipating and craving more. An impressive record.

Ice Prince – Olowo (ft DwillsHarmony)
In 7th place is this amazing and unconventional Hip-hop production by BallerTosh that samples Bryson Tiller’s “Exchange”. Ice Prince floats beautifully with an appealing verse, and before that, DwillsHarmony ushers in the song with a mind-blowing, and perfect delivery. A fun song with a perfectly complementary performance from both artists, this feels like a new age for hip-hop. With the producer deserving special flowers, “Olowo” is a well executed record.

Pharaoh 47 – On My way
Jos born and one-time Uk based rapper Pharaoh 47, has been consistent in pushing the boundaries of hip-hop in the Nigerian music space. He comes in at No. 8 with his latest offering which samples Require, the collaboration by Dj Tunez and Olamide. Flipping it into modern Hip-hop and Afrobeats, the Northern Rap act makes an unforgettable impression. With a style that is influenced by the Uk Drill Scene and Afrobeats, we think that the rapper could be one to watch out for. A catchy and impressive track, we definitely recommend.

Magixx & Jeriq – Vibration
Talented singer Magixx recruits Eastern Rap star Jeriq on this melodious record that takes the 9th spot on our list. The two fast rising and critically acclaimed acts display a chemistry that is only possible when two talented artists come together. Produced by Dummex and Og Sterling, this Afro-pop record taps into elements of Eastern Folk music, blending them with modern sounds. The pair outdo themselves, this is the collaboration we didn’t know we needed.

Dotti The Deity & Reminisce – Big Shirt & Boxers
Talented and versatile singer Dotti the deity returns with another great love rendition, clinching 10th place on our list. Combining elements of folk, jazz, pop and traditional music, he crafts a heartwarming song and features indigenous Rap icon Reminisce while at it. Together, the two deliver top-notch performances bound to have love birds in a spell. The use of traditional african music elements is highly commendable and the Reminisce feature further drives this home.

Tomi Owo & Psycho Yp – Your Matter
In 11th place, Alternative Soul singer ‘Tomi Owo’ teams up with in-demand rapper ‘Psycho Yp’ on this unconventional record, which sees both artists poeticize a love flame that won’t die. Rap star Psycho Yp finds himself singing and expressing his emotions on this emotional but sweet record, displaying his credibility as one of the most versatile and marketable rappers right now. Tomi owo also serves a storm on her first single of the year and we’re impressed.

Mayorkun – Under The Canopy
12th place sees critically acclaimed and talented artist, Mayorkun release his first single of the year. On this inviting pop record, the former DMW signee details his struggles and how faith has kept him above challenges. On this infectious and groovy song laced with amapiano elements, the singer shows why he is such a unique artist. His unique style and vocal delivery is simply distinct. A good offering, fingers crossed for what he has in store for us going forward.

Kaestyle & Omah Lay – My Dealer
Coming in at No. 13, labelmates Kaestyle and Omah Lay serenade us with their first collaboration in this 4/20 friendly performance. Produced by David Hart, it incorporates sounds from the south east of Nigeria and elements of modern afro-beats, adding a unique tangent to the melody of the song. While Kaestyle shows off his qualities, Omah Lay steals the spotlight with his signature style. While it can seem that there are simply too many instruments in the production, it is still a good song overall.
