EFUE, a budding singer, songwriter, and producer from Lagos, Nigeria, signed to Propella Co. is set to release her debut EP, Memorabilia. From singing about life and its crescendoes, to writing about love, her music is the most mesmerising combination of Afro-soul, Afrobeats, House, and pure Soul. Her magical ability to fuse these genres has made her a fan favourite, and with this EP, she’s solidifying her place in the ever-evolving music space.
Memorabilia is a five-track EP made up of letters addressed to no one or anyone. Every lyric describes frozen proof of moments that once meant everything and boxes we stow away until we want to revisit and reminisce on feelings that refuse to be ignored. The project includes previously released singles – Beauty and the Beat, Wanna Know, and History.
At various points in Efue’s life, the thoughts and emotions expressed in this project consumed her attention completely, so much so that they had to be documented in a language every human on earth can understand- music. This project was created first for herself, and then for anyone who might find a piece of themselves in the words. Each track is a keepsake. An emotional souvenir from different chapters of her.
Her journey as a major artist started in a small white room in Abuja, where she penned songs for herself and other creatives. She recently moved to Lagos, the buzzing city with endless opportunities and is now ready to set her foot down, build a solid fan base, and rock the foundations of the industry. With this EP, Efue is inviting the world to join her on this beautiful journey.
