Content creation has become the lifeblood of the internet’s creativity and the digital age. It takes a lot of research, effort, several brainstorming sessions, an uncommon height of creativity and a knack for success. Today, it is an already saturated marketplace.

Although many, who should be called “skit makers” are now referring to themselves as content creators, there are a few, who are really going the extra mile to make things happen in that world. Sometimes, I wonder why I haven’t hopped on the bandwagon yet.

The possibilities are endless and once you’re willing to push yourself beyond boundaries, and your village people give you a nod, you’ll be recognized and rewarded.

Today’s WTS piece focuses on a few content creators who have done exceptionally well in the social space and beyond. Over time, we’ve seen them display passion and dedication to the craft.

In no particular order, let’s discuss 5 content creators who go above and beyond in their respective niches.

Hauwa

I do not know from which planet Hauwa has emerged but that babe smokes “creativity loud” for a living. What???? Oh, before I move further, if your level of IQ isn’t way above average, you may not understand her humour. Hauwa is known for creating magic out of “rubbish”. How she sits down to curate her content blows me away every damn time. Sometimes, I feel like going on a vacation in her head. 

If you’ve followed and consumed her content long enough, you’d know she has an imaginary boyfriend named Kabiru. And please don’t ask me when they might be getting married. I don’t see the possibility, even in the world of the wildest imaginations.

For years, Hauwa has dished out nothing but impressive content that leaves you glued to her page 24/7.

Asherkine

I don’t know where he got “Asherkine” from, but the name given to him by his parents is Akinyemi Oluwaseun Omotayo. He is one of the very few social media content creators , who take pride in giving back to society. Initially, Asher was known for pitting healthy competition against friends. 

These competitors were centered around food and money and mostly ended up in a win-win situation if you ask me. I mean, if you don’t win the money, you get to go home with a full belly.

Currently, he’s winning the hearts of millions of social media users with his unique charity work. The content creator now goes to universities and randomly picks people to give unique treats and unforgettable experiences.

He takes them to get a total makeover over. This includes skincare, hair, massages, clothes, shoes, bags, food and even tops it all up by giving them cash.

They also get to wine and dine with celebrities, who mostly give them some more cash too. His recent approach to content creation has spiked his social media following.

Enioluwa

Beauty with brand as he is mostly referred to, is another amazing content creator. Because of his good looks, love for makeup and fashion.

Eni’s love for good food and playful content makes him a delight to watch. He has also partnered with many educational bodies to offer scholarships to students.

He is currently working on his PhD and has bagged numerous prestigious awards.

Layi

I don’t know where to start. Should I refer to him as a lecturer, GNCC advisor, officer or a lawyer? See ehn, Layi Wasabi, creativity too choke. The 21-year-old has won prestigious awards for his outstanding performances and unique content.

Layi doesn’t have to do much before he cracks you up. His appearance alone has me in stitches all the time. In three years, he has made an exemplary contribution to the entertainment industry, which includes appearing in Kunle Afolayan’s blockbuster movie, Anikulapo.

Olayiwola Issac is indeed a rare find.

Gilmore

Mohammed Gilmore has lived many lives. I think of him as an ancestor. The way he recreates childhood memories is on a different level. Every piece of content he crafts remains universally resonant..

He has mastered the art of embodying different characters and never falls short in interpreting them to the fullest. Through short funny videos, Gilmore takes us back to the good old days, making us relive our childhood experiences.
