Earlier this year, Joeboy officially announced the launch of his owned label in partnership with Warner Music Africa. After months of scouting and development, Young Legend has unveiled its first official artist, Kvng Vidarr.
Momoh Oshiotseameh Luke, professionally known as Kvng Vidarr, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter hailing from Edo State. Raised in Ikorodu, Lagos, he was profoundly influenced by music from an early age, thanks to his grandmother. Living with her, he was exposed to a rich tapestry of sounds, from the legendary African artists like Yvonne Chaka to the boy bands of the West, such as Westlife and Backstreet Boys.
Through the years, Vidarr has built a reputation behind the scenes as one of Afrobeats well kept secrets with writing credits on songs by Joeboy, Reekado Banks, Ric Hasani, Laycon to name a few. Songs like Adenuga, Duffel Bag and Bioba are just a few songs that have been blessed with Vidarr’s pen.
Now as a frontline talent, Vidarr’s style is a fusion of afro, highlife, and dancehall, though he remains versatile and keen to explore new sounds as displayed on his self-titled EP, Kvng Vidarr which is set for release at midnight on November 1st 2025
Speaking on the unveiling, Head of Label, Deola Jaiyesimi highlighted Young Legend’s commitment to providing a home for the next wave of Afrobeat superstars and ensuring the baton is properly passed to the next generation.
