In Lagos, music doesn’t just fill the air, it defines it. It’s how people speak, how they move, and how they mark moments. And as summer came to its golden close, that rhythm found its loudest echo at Goodbye 2 Activ. Summer, a one-day gig at Encourage Park, Ikoyi, that turned into a living soundtrack of connection, style, and sound.

At the heart of it all was Ballantine’s Blended Scotch Whisky who served as a connector of culture, a brand that continues to champion self-expression through music and the people who make it pulse. Guided by its Stay True ethos, Ballantine’s was there to celebrate what Lagos does best, turn individuality into energy, and energy into art.

The DJ lineup read like a city sound map; Davesound, Trillxoe, Danielino, Axara, Benzo, Palmwine, 808, Hilary, Titanium, AFDJ, Naffy, and more, each one shaping the evening with a sound that reflected their corner of Lagos’ sonic identity. The crowd moved from Nyamezela by Nastee Nando to Lower Body by Chris Brown ft. Davido, Ewo by Famous Pluto, Shallipopi & Zerrydl, Yini Ngathi (Insane) by Felo Le Tee, and Jealousy by Khalili Harrison & Tyler ICU, a seamless blend of Afrobeats, R&B, Amapiano, Nu-Disco, and Afro House that mirrored the city’s diversity and daring energy. High energy performances by Zhus, Ar4, Mojo, Goodgirl LA, Wavestar, Laycon, Eggerton, Minz and many more kept the crowd moving.

Then came YKB and friends, delivering a performance that turned the rave into a shared experience; voices merging, feet moving, everyone in sync. Ashekrine and Divine (Trent Boy) added that Lagos flair; unexpected, raw, and effortless, the kind that makes the city’s creative scene feel alive and unscripted.
Off the stage, Ballantine’s brought the vibe full circle. The Cup Games sparked cheers and laughter, with winners walking away in exclusive Ballantine’s merch that felt more like badges of honour. The Ballantine’s immersive experience buzzed with energy, part hangout, part cultural checkpoint, while the photo booth became a hotspot for spontaneous self-expression, capturing the confidence and joy that define the Lagos creative spirit.

With signature cocktails: Ballantine’s Apple, Ballantine’s Sour, and Ballantine’s Lightening, flowing through the evening, every sip carried the same message: this is what it means to live authentically, to stay true, and to let music guide the moment.

Goodbye 2 Activ. Summer showed that for Lagos, and for Ballantine’s, music is more than entertainment. It’s identity. It’s a connection. It’s how the city says goodbye to one season and welcomes the next; loud, proud, and unapologetically true to itself.
Stay True. Drink Responsibly.
